Stroke Recovery: Making rehabilitation decisions

Stroke Recovery: Making rehabilitation decisions

More than two-thirds of stroke survivors receive rehabilitation services after hospitalization. Effective rehabilitation is an essential part of stroke care.

Recovery from stroke can be a lifelong journey depending on the type and severity of the stroke, your age, and your physical condition. Stroke rehabilitation can take place across a whole continuum of post-acute care: inpatient rehab; transitional rehab; skilled nursing; home health; outpatient rehab.

How do you make decisions about stroke rehabilitation?  The American Heart Association and the American Stroke Association offers these free guides.
