Current policy on visitors to Allied Services facilities
News
To Our Customers, Patients, Residents and Family Members:
We know that you may be concerned about the spread of the 2019 Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) and how it may impact us here at Allied Services Integrated Health System. Ensuring patients and residents are cared for in a safe and healthy environment is our greatest concern.
We want you to be aware of the measures we are taking to help reduce the potential for the virus to enter our facilities. These measures are based on the most current recommendations from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). We ask for your understanding and cooperation as we continue to protect the health and safety of our patients, residents and staff.
- Discouraging Visitors: At this time, we are discouraging routine visits by family members and friends to our facilities including our inpatient hospitals, transitional rehab units, skilled nursing homes, personal care homes, and our residential and day program facilities. Routine social visits are strongly discouraged. We understand that connecting with loved ones is incredibly important, and there are a variety of other ways you might consider connecting with them. These may include telephone, email, text, or through Skype or Facebook. Let us know how we can help facilitate communication.
- Screening Procedures: We ask that you don’t visit with the exception of immediate families or friends who need to visit for critical or time sensitive reasons such as hospice-related visits, or to complete medical authorizations, etc. These visitors will be advised on-site about necessary limitations to their movements within the facility. All staff and visitors will be screened and no one will be allowed to enter the facility if they have symptoms of a respiratory infection. These screenings follow the most current screening criteria recommendations from the CDC.
Allied Services is following the recommendations of the CDC on prevention steps, including following strict handwashing procedures, and in many circumstances, wearing gowns and gloves when interacting with residents who are sick. We also are following CDC recommendations as they are updated. In addition, Allied Services is in close contact with the local and state health department and are following their guidance.
Allied Services provides care for many vulnerable individuals including patients and residents with complex conditions and needs. We are grateful for your cooperation and assistance as we continue with measures to protect the safety of our patients, residents, staff and their families.
