Allied Services announces staff promotions
Allied Services is proud to announce a series of promotions throughout the healthcare system. Congratulations to all, and thank you for your hard work and dedication to supporting the individuals, families and communities we serve.
Jeff Snyder, BS, Executive Director of Burnley Employment and Rehabilitation Center and Waiver Coordination. Jeff received his Bachelor of Science in Business Management from Pennsylvania State University. He began his career at Allied Services in 2005, and for many years, worked as a program manager in the Developmental Services Division. At Burnley in Stroudsburg, Snyder ensures individuals with disabilities are given specialized training and supervision and learn key work-related skills.Within the Waiver Coordination program, he oversees staff that assist consumers with access to home and community supports and services which are tailored to their individual and varied needs. Snyder currently resides in South Abington Township with his wife, Kathy, and their daughter.
Travis Davis, MHA, NHA, Assistant Vice President of the Transitional Rehabilitation Unit in Scranton. Davis, who joined Allied Services in 2014, earned his Master's Degree in Health Administration from the University of Scranton, and also holds a Health Services ExecutiveTM qualification. Davis brings with him a strong background in marketing, business management and healthcare referral source collaboration. He has been instrumental in several areas of the health system, most recently serving as Administrator of the Transitional Unit. Travis lives in Waverly Township with his wife, Lauren, and their 2 children.
Joe Brudzinski, Network Analyst. Within the Information Systems Department the network analyst ensures network connectivity and analyzes network activity throughout the system to reduce downtime. Joe joined Allied Services in 2016 as an operations analyst. He brings more than 17 years of experience in information technology to his role at Allied Services. Joe resides in Scranton.
Matt Lewis, BS, Manager of Technology Services. In his new role Lewis will continue managing all mobile devices, applications, and telecommunication throughout the organization with the addition of developing and maintaining all new technology services. Matt joined Allied Services in 2013 as a student intern while earning his Bachelor of Science in Information Technology from Keystone College. Matt resides in Clifford Township with his wife, Stacy.
Christina Bolcavage, BS, System Analyst IV. In this role Bolcavage will provide technical guidance and leadership to system development staff and oversee department projects. She will also be responsible for completing system analysis, verifying program changes, complete testing and implementation of existing and new systems. Christina earned her Bachelor of Science in Management Information Systems from Misericordia University and has been with Allied Services for more than 11 yers. She resides in Clifford Township with her 2 sons and their dog Sammy.
April James, RN, BSN, Director of Nursing and Professional Services, Home Health. April earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Wilkes University and will earn her Master’s in Nursing in February. She has been a member of the Home Health team for 10 years, most recently serving as a clinical care team supervisor. April resides in Kingston with her husband, Walter, and their blended family of 4 teenagers.
Lisa Mortimer, PT, DPT, COS-C, Manager of Rehabilitative Services, Home Health. Lisa earned her Master’s degree in Physical therapy from Misericordia University and her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Utica College. She has been a physical therapist at Allied Services since 2009, serving in both outpatient and inpatient settings. Lisa resides in Bear Creek Township with her husband and their 2 German Shepherds.
Melissa Palermo, LPN, Unit Coordinator, Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. Melissa's journey with Allied Services Skilled Nursing Center began in 2003, when she was hired as a certified nurse aide. Through the use of Allied Services weekender program, Melissa became a Licensed Practical Nurse approximately 3 years later. She is currently enrolled at Excelsior College and is expected to graduate in the coming weeks as a Registered Nurse. Melissa resides in Old Forge with her 2 daughters.
Melissa Pedriani, BSW, Assistant Director of Social Services, Skilled Nursing & Rehab Center. Melissa attended Millersville University and earned a Bachelor's degree in Social Work and Psychology. While she has been an employee of Allied Services Skilled Nursing Center for 5 years, she brings more than 10 years of experience working in a skilled nursing setting. Prior to joining the Allied Services family, Melissa spent 4 years as a Director of Social Services and 3 years as a social worker specializing in dementia care. She resides in Jermyn, PA with her husband, Travis, and 2 children.
Laura Marion, RN, BSN, Assistant Vice President of Allied Services Hospice and Palliative Care. In her 3 years with Allied Services, Laura has been responsible for the research, development, and roll out of the health system’s Palliative Care program and oversaw the development, credentialing, and opening of Allied Services Hospice Center. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Scranton. Laura lives in Clarks Summit with her husband, Michael, and 4 children.
Suzanne Corby, RN, BSN, Clinical Director, In-Home Hospice Care. Suzanne has more than 14 years experience in nursing, with more than 9 years dedicated to hospice nursing. She graduated from Misericordia University with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and also holds a Bachelor of Science in Dietetics and Nutrition. In addition to hospice nursing, she has served patients in acute care, long-term care and skilled nursing care settings. Suzanne lives in Tunkhannock with her husband, Tom, and their dog Lucy.
Kelly Langan, RN, BSN, CHPN, Clinical Director, Allied Services Hospice Center. Kelly coordinates care for patients that transfer to the center from the in-home hospice care team and also new admissions. She manages the staff at the Hospice Center to ensure the best quality of care for patients and their families. She graduated from Misericordia University with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and has more than 23 years experience as a hospice nurse. Kelly lives in Scranton with her husband, Brian, and their dogs Poco and Nala.
