KELLY KEMPA, Old Forge, Team Member 2019

My name is Kelly Kempa, from Old Forge, PA, and I am incredibly excited to be a member of Team Allied Services 10! I first laced up my running shoes in 2014, and after countless 5Ks and two half-marathons, the 2019 TCS New York City Marathon will be my first time racing 26.2 miles. For me, running has always been about more than the miles I cover, and as a member of Team Allied Services 10, I am able to use running as a way to contribute to Allied Services. Allied will always hold a special place in my heart, thanks to the wonderful care my grandmother received after her stroke in 2008. The road to recovery after a stroke is not easy for patients or their family, but Allied helped us every step of the way.

It is an honor to be a part of this team and be able to give back to an organization that gave my family everything, and continues to do so for families throughout our community.
