Hospice Care

Hospice care is a special kind that focuses on the quality of life for people experiencing an advanced, life-limiting illness and their caregivers. Hospice care provides compassionate care for people in the last phases of incurable disease so that they may live as fully and comfortably as possible.is for patients who are in the final stages of life.

People with advanced cancer should discuss with their family members and doctors to decide when hospice care should begin.

Studies show hospice care often is not started soon enough. Sometimes, the doctor, patient, or family member will resist hospice because it means “giving up” or there’s no hope. Knowing that you can leave hospice and go into active cancer treatment anytime is important.

Our hospice care professionals focus on improving patients' comfort and quality of life and providing them and their families with emotional support during this difficult time. The four levels of care include hospice care at home, continuous hospice care, inpatient hospice care, and respite care.
