Pittston City St. Patrick’s Day Parade supports Allied Services
Team Allied Services News
Scranton, PA – Representatives from the Pittston City St. Patrick’s Day Parade Committee recently visited Allied Services main Scranton campus. They were there to present a donation of $1000 to benefit patients with disabilities, life-changing injuries and chronic illness served by the non-profit health system. The funds were raised through an annual race, the Leprechaun Loop, hosted by the committee on the morning of the city’s annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade.
The committee also selected Allied Services and the WNEP Team Allied Services campaign as the 2020 race beneficiaries. The 5th Annual Leprechaun Loop will take place on Saturday, March 7, 11:00 a.m. The mostly flat, 1 mile course takes runners and walkers of all ages through downtown Pittston. Registration is now open on the parade’s facebook page and on runsignup.com
“It’s a really fun atmosphere at the race,” comments committee member, Tiffany Ferrentino. “The town is decorated for the parade and everyone is there to have a good time. Many of our runners and walkers turn up in head-to-toe St. Patrick’s day costumes and are very serious about competing for the costume awards! At the end of the day, we have fun and raise vital funds for a local charity that helps so many in our community.”
