MAC MAGDEBURG Pottsville, PA Team Member 2012, 2013 & 2019

Being a part of Team Allied Services allows me to support Allied Services. Their mission and goals fit perfectly with mine as a 25+ year physical therapist and their dedication to providing top notch care to patients from every walk of life keeps them at the forefront of care in our area!

This November, William “Mac” Magdeburg of Pottsville will once again join the WNEP’s Team Allied Services Team for the TCS New York City Marathon. Mac has been a physical therapist for more than 25 years, helping to improve the mobility and quality of life for countless patients.

Mac is running the 2019 TCS New York City Marathon in honor of David Clocker, a patient at Heinz Rehab Center in Wilkes-Barre. David, who lives with his wife in Wilkes-Barre, suffered a catastrophic stroke in early 2018. The stroke left David unable to walk, talk or use one arm.

David began outpatient physical and occupational therapy at Heinz Rehab Center and soon made incredible strides. In fact, during his recovery, David used a piece of technology - the ReoGo - that was purchased with funds raised by the Team Allied Services campaign. It helped David to regain strength and fine motor skills in his damaged arm.

With the help of his therapists and family, David has made great progress with his recovery; he is able to walk once again and is back to doing many of the things he loves. He is determined to keep working and regain his full function and mobility.
