WEIS MARKETS PROUD SIX YEAR SPONSORS OF WNEP’S TEAM ALLIED SERVICES

Allied Services Integrated Health System is proud to announce Weis Markets as a returning major sponsor of WNEP’s Team Allied Services 7, the annual campaign to raise funds for children and adults with disabilities at Allied Services. As a 6-year major sponsor, Weis Markets has donated more than $90,000 to Allied Services. The funds, along with donations from individuals, school, businesses and other major sponsors, enable the non-profit health system to invest in cutting-edge rehab technology, services and staff to improve the lives of individuals with disabilities and life-changing injuries.

“We’re proud to be a Major Sponsor of Team Allied Services and to be helping individuals and families affected by life-changing injuries and disabilities get the care they need” said Dennis Curtin, Director of Public Relations. “As a locally focused retailer, we are committed to giving back to the communities we serve and are pleased to be working with the Allied Team.”

On November 6, WNEP TV’s Ryan Leckey and 50 other area runners will complete the 2016 TCS New York City Marathon. The legendary footrace marks the culmination of the WNEP’s Team Allied Services campaign and months of fundraising and awareness-raising for Allied Services. Weis Markets will be represented by Erin Long, MS, RDN, LDN, Retail Healthy Living Coordinator. This will be her third marathon.

“As a Registered Dietitian at Weis Markets, my goal is to inspire people to live healthier lives. It’s a rewarding feeling when I guide customers to make small changes that can eventually lead to a big impact on their health. I feel the same way about running to benefit Allied Services. It’s truly incredible how much of a positive influence WNEP’s Team Allied Services has had on the lives of so many people” commented Ms. Long.
