Allied Services among NEPA’s Best Places to Work for Third Consecutive Year

For a third consecutive year, Allied Services is among the Times Leader’s NEPA’s Best Places to Work. The 2023 award marks two consecutive Platinum wins for Allied Services (2022-2023) and a Gold win in 2021.

Since its inception, Best Places to Work has been a way to showcase local businesses. Employees and readers voted for each as a “best place to work” through print and online submissions during four weeks ending in late November.

“Our employees are at the heart of all we do. Without them, caring for our patients, residents, and community simply would not be possible,” commented Judy Oprisko, BS, SPHR, CEBS, CHC, Vice President of Human Resources and Compliance. “We’ve worked hard to create a welcoming, inclusive, and supportive workplace where our employees can grow, thrive, and find fulfillment.”

In 2023, Allied Services celebrated its 65th year. Over the years, the non-profit health system has grown its continuum of care to include physical rehabilitation, skilled nursing, personal care, vocational and residential care, home health and home care services, behavioral health programs, and palliative and hospice care.

Allied Services’ employees, working in homes and facilities throughout Northeastern and Central Pennsylvania, bring to life their mission to improve the lives of individuals with disabilities, life-changing injuries, and chronic illnesses.

“We’re invested in our employees’ success. From tuition-free college education to modern, welcoming workplaces, we’re committed to putting our patients and employees first,” commented Oprisko.

Allied Services employees benefit from:

  • Generous tuition reimbursement assistance programs and scholarships.
  • Multi-million dollar investments in modern, remodeled workplaces.
  • A welcoming and supportive team atmosphere.
  • Being part of top-rated care teams. For example, Allied Services has proudly earned the US News & World Report’s Best Nursing Home title for multiple years. Our hospice, home health, and rehabilitation teams are nationally ranked.
