Mountain Top residents planning a family-friendly fundraiser for pediatric programs at Allied Services

Brian Feist and Crystal Wright have a lot in common. They’re both parents, avid runners, and multiple-time members of Team Allied Services and You, the annual charity campaign benefitting Allied Services. This November 5, Feist and Wright will participate in the TCS New York City Marathon as part of a team of 60+ runners representing the non-profit health system.

Before then, they’re volunteering their time to raise funds for Allied Services. One of those fundraising activities is a family-friendly event at Malacari’s Ice Cream and Mini Golf in Mountain Top.

Putt-Putt for Pediatrics is planned for September 29, September 30, and October 1 at Malacari’s Ice Cream and Mini Golf. The weekend will kick off with entertainment from DJ Donny Evans and will continue with a free scavenger hunt for all ages. Malacari’s will donate 50% of the admission to Allied Services.

Local businesses and individuals can support by taking advantage of sponsorship opportunities starting at just $100. Sponsors include Bloomsburg Metal, Brass Buckle, Cornell Cookson LLC, DJ Donnie Evans, Zodiac Printeractive, Little Big Steps, Jason McCloe, Mountaintop Chiropractic, the Pest Rangers, Travel by Nicole, and Triple 6 Tattoos.

“The pediatric therapy programs at Allied Services are vital to our community,” commented Brian Feist. “This is my fourth time running and raising funds with the team, and what keeps me coming back is knowing that the money we raise benefits families right here in Northeastern Pennsylvania.”

Wright is also a 4-time member of Team Allied Services and You. As part of her fundraising efforts, she invites family, friends, and community members to sponsor specific miles or bridges of the New York City marathon course. “Not everyone has the ability to run a marathon. By sponsoring a mile or one of the five bridges, they can be part of the experience,” says Wright. To support either runners’ fundraising, visit alliedservices.org/teamallied
