M&T Bank donates to support autism programs at Allied Services

Representatives of M&T Bank recently presented Allied Services with a major sponsorship in the amount of $2,500, supporting the 2022 Lexus Autism Golf Classic. The 29th Annual Autism Golf Classic presented by MotorWorld Lexusis scheduled for Monday, June 20 at Huntsville Golf Club in Lehman, Pa.

Proceeds from the tournament benefit pediatric patients with diagnoses on the autism spectrum who receive treatment and services at Allied Services. Treatments for autism aim to reduce symptoms and support the child’s quality of life. Interventions can take place at school, in the home, and with health care professionals. At Allied Services, autistic children can benefit from physical therapy, occupational therapy, and speech therapy interventions individualized for their needs. In the past year, Allied Services provided therapeutic services to more than 600 children including those with challenges with social skills, repetitive behaviors, speech, and nonverbal communication, common to autism and autism spectrum disorder (ASD).

Autism Programs at Allied Services

The Pediatric Program at Allied Services provides comprehensive physical therapy, occupational therapy, and speech therapy to children of all ages with a variety of diagnoses. Rehabilitation professionals partner with families to meet the needs of their children.

Autism services are provided in a multidisciplinary way to better serve the needs and goals of each child. Services are available on an outpatient basis in Scranton and Wilkes-Barre.
