Nursing: Frequently Asked Questions

Am I under any obligation to you after submitting an inquiry?

No. Your inquiry will simply allow us to reach out to you to gather more information and answer any questions you may have regarding employment opportunities with our agency. Your information will remain confidential and no commitment is required.

Can I pick up shifts to fit my schedule?

Absolutely. We will work with your availability.

Can I work full-time?

Yes. We currently have full-time and part-time work available.

How little can I work if I work part-time?

We ask that you check in with us bi–weekly to let us know of your availability. Once you commit to a shift/assignment we ask that you follow through with that shift/assignment.

Do I have to sign a long-term contract?

No contract or minimum work commitment is required.

Do you have travel nursing assignments?

You will only be required to travel locally. Assignments are based in Lackawanna and Luzerne County.

Does Integrated Staffing offer per diem shifts?

Our agency offers temporary staffing throughout a non-profit, integrated health care system. Assignments are determined based on matching your availability with our needs. Other employment opportunities are available through our parent company Allied Services.

How long will it take to approve my application and begin working?

We will walk you through the steps to get you on our team as quickly and efficiently as possible.

Will I qualify for overtime and holiday pay?

Overtime is available after 40 hours in a workweek (Sunday through Saturday). You will be eligible for holiday and weekend premium pay.

What benefits do you offer?

You may be offered health insurance after one year if you work a minimum number of hours per week on average during the year.

What happens if I don’t like my assignment?

We will work to address your concerns. You may look to alternative employment arrangements within our system if you wish to work in a specific location or aea of care.

What kind of training does Integrated Staffing provide?

You will receive an orientation for each level of care. We will work with you to ensure that you maintain the necessary certifications.

What types of requirements are there to work for Integrated Staffing?

Our shifts vary depending on the facility. The majority of our shifts are 8, 10, or 12 hours.

For positions that require a license or certification, you must have an active license/certification in the state of Pennsylvania. We will check references and conduct a background check and drug testing. You will also be required to have up-to-date COVID-19 vaccinations.

When and how will I be paid?

We pay on a bi-weekly basis. There may be options available to receive up to 50% of your pay daily.

Where will I be working?

You will be working throughout multiple levels of care in one healthcare system. The levels of care include inpatient rehabilitation, transitional rehabilitation, and skilled nursing care.

Will I have to work in all areas of care?

Integrated Staffing will look to employ individuals with at least one year of experience who like variety and feel comfortable working with different nursing teams. We will orient and educate you in each level of care so you will be a competent member of each team. Should you desire to work in one specific level of care or location, you will be directed to opportunities in one of our other divisions that offer full-time, part-time or per-diem roles.
