How to support Autism programs at Allied Services

According to the Centers for Disease Control, Autism is one of the fastest-growing developmental disorders in the U.S., affecting 1 in 68 children. Treatment and services are typically not covered by insurance causing an out of pocket annual expense of $60,000 for most families. An average 13-week speech and language therapy session costs approximately $4,000.

The Pediatric Program at Allied Services provides comprehensive physical therapy, occupational therapy, and speech therapy to children of all ages with a variety of diagnoses. Rehabilitation professionals partner with families to meet the needs of their children.

Autism services are provided in a multidisciplinary way to better serve the needs and goals of each child. Services are available on an outpatient basis in Scranton and Wilkes-Barre.
