Team Allied Services Eyes New Technology for Children With Disabilities

The therapy team at Allied Services has identified an exciting new rehab device that can help children with disabilities to walk. With your support for Team Allied Services, we will be able to bring this technology to children at Allied Services.

"We've seen how the Indego Exoskeleton has had such a positive impact on our adult patients," commented Cathy Guzzi, PT, DPT, Assistant Vice President of Rehab Therapies at Allied Services.

"The Trexo offers some of the same resources in a robotic device designed for children. It has so much potential for a wide range of children with disabilities affecting their mobility."

The Trexo Robotics Is a Gait Training System Designed Specifically for Children.

Trexo’s adjustability makes it a versatile tool to help most children with a disability experience over-the-ground walking. Used in therapy, the Trexo provides a highly repetitive and consistent gait pattern at a speed you choose, without getting tired.

Children with the following conditions may be able to use the Trexo:

  • Cerebral Palsy (GMFCS III-V)
  • Spinal Muscular Atrophy (SMA)
  • Muscular Dystrophy
  • Stroke
  • Brain injury
  • Hemi and Paraplegia
  • Spinal cord injury
  • Rett syndrome
  • Neuromuscular conditions
  • Other conditions which impair lower body mobility

A donation of $35 or more earns you an offical Team Allied Services exercise shirt.
