Team Allied Services and You Raised More Than $500,000 With Help From the Community

On November 6, 2022, the TCS New York City Marathon returned to full capacity for the first time since 2020. Joining the field of more than 50,000 runners from around the globe were a group of individuals representing Team Allied Services and You. More than 70 runners from around Pennsylvania and beyond participated in the marathon with the same goal; to raise funds to benefit children and adults with disabilities at Allied Services.

“We continue to develop new relationships, friends through this campaign, and new needs that we’re able to meet at Allied Services thanks to the community’s support,” commented Jim Brogna, Vice President of Strategic Partnership Development at Allied Services. Brogna was 1 of 10 Allied Services employees who participated in the marathon this November.

For athletes representing Team Allied Services, the race was the culmination of months of training and fundraising. On November 10th, the campaign, now in its 13th year, came to a close with the announcement that a total of $501,063was raised in for Allied Services in 2022.

“The support that the community, our corporate sponsors, runners, employees, local schools, and individual donors showed once again this year is heartening” commented Attorney Bill Conaboy, President and CEO of Allied Services. “The continued success of this charity campaign after 13 years shows just how much our supporters value the life-changing work our employees do every day. Their donations have a profound impact on our health care system and our ability to help our patients and residents reach their goals.”

The proceeds from this year's campaign will benefit individuals with disabilities and life-changing injuries served by Allied Services, enabling the non-profit health system to invest in cutting-edge technology and services. Each day, Allied Services and its staff and volunteers touch the lives of more than 5,000 people. The continuum of care provided by Allied Services includes mental health services, home health, non-medical home care, inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation, hospice and palliative care, residential care for individuals with disabilities, skilled nursing, personal care, and vocational services.

Allied Services wish to thank media sponsors WNEP TV-16, Lamar Advertising, and the Times Shamrock, corporate sponsors Mohegan Pennsylvania, Northeast Rehab, Weis Markets, FNCB Bank, Mueller Family McDonald’s, United Concordia Dental, Highmark Blue Cross Blue Shield, MotorWorld|MileOne Autogroup, Open Access BPO, the Hawk Family Foundation, signature event sponsors Aon and Quantum Rehab, and the many donors for their outstanding commitment to supporting children and adults with disabilities.
