GOLDEN LIVING DONATES $1,000 TO ALLIED SERVICES

The staff and residents of Golden Living recently received a visit from Gareth Henderson, an official member of WNEP’s Team Allied Services 7. Henderson visited Golden Living Center’s East Mountain location in Wilkes-Barre to receive a donation of $1,000 on behalf of the charity campaign.

On November 6, Henderson and 51 other local athletes including WNEP’s Ryan Leckey, will run the TCS New York City Marathon. The team is raising funds and awareness for children and adults with disabilities, life-changing injuries and chronic illness at Allied Services. A teacher at Northwest School District in Shickshinny, Henderson is an avid runner and cross country coach. Golden Living provides both short- and long-term nursing home care.
