5K Run & All Abilities Walk

Event Date: October 6, 2018 @ 9:00 a.m.
Event Location: Scranton Memorial Stadium

Inspiring Fitness. Challenging Disability. Changing Lives. That’s what WNEP’s Ryan’s Run campaign and this uplifting event is all about. Run, walk or cheer! You can be part of this special day as we celebrate the achievements of our patients. All proceeds benefit children and adults with disabilities at Allied Services.

WNEP’s Ryan’s Run 5k and All-Abilities Walk is an annual event celebrating the accomplishments of children and adults of all abilities. Come for the 5k and stay to cheer on participants in the All-Abilities Walk.

8:00 A.M. – 5K REGISTRATION AND BIB PICK-UP: pre-registration for the 5k is $10 per person (all ages). Pre-registration ends October 3rd. Race-day registration is $20 per person (all ages).

9:00 A.M.  – 5K RUN/WALK: the 5k starts and finishes in Memorial Stadium, Scranton. It follows a dirt and paved course along the Lackawanna Heritage Valley Trail. Open to all abilities and ages. Walkers who will take longer than 50 minutes are asked to contact cwrigh@allied-services.org. A group of walkers will be coordinated to leave the stadium before the official start at 9:00 a.m.

10:00 A.M.  – ALL ABILITIES WALK:  the All-Abilities Walk is aimed at giving children and adults of all abilities an opportunity to shine on the track. Each participant sets their own goal, whether its 100 meters, one lap of the track or more. Walkers will be cheered on by crowds of runners, supporters and cheerleaders, and will be presented with a medal as they cross the finish line. The walk is free and open to all.
