CHRISTINE ROSENKRANS Clarks Summit, PA Team Member 2015 & 2019

CHRISTINE ROSENKRANS Clarks Summit, PA Team Member 2015 & 2019

When I ran with the team in 2015, I had no idea that my own family would need Allied Services. The team of professionals at Allied Services provided my dad with the care and therapy he needed to live a viable life, and along the way, they became his friends.

In 2015, Christine Rosenkrans represented Allied Services in the New York City Marathon for the first time. She had no idea that just a few years later, her own family would need Allied Services. From 2015-2018, Christine’s dad underwent multiple procedures including, open heart surgery and an amputation. Each time he was discharged from the University of Pennsylvania Hospital, he would transition to Allied Services for the care he needed in order to return to his home. On November 3rd, Christine will run the TCS New York City Marathon in honor of her dad.

Christine is also running in honor of a new friend who is helping to keep her motivated as she trains and raises funds for Allied Services. 13 year old Kaitlyn Andre of Montrose - aka the unofficial Mayor of Montrose - is a regular participant at the Ryan’s Run 5k & All Abilities Walk.

Kaitlyn was born with spina bifida, a neural tube defect which causes paralysis of the lower limbs. She has required an immense amount of therapy since the age of four months and knows what a difference Allied Services makes for other children.

When she’s not studying hard, Kaitlyn loves swimming, reading and getting to know people. She is a social butterfly and has an incredible memory for the people she meets.
