Allied Services has a number of full-time and part-time positions for Recreational Therapy Aides in Wilkes-Barre. 

  • Description: Under the direction of the Director of Recreation Therapy, the Recreation Therapy Aide plans, organizes, and implements a variety of individual and group activities designed to meet the needs of all residents of Allied Services Skilled Nursing Center.
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Work Experience: Previous experience working with a geriatric population preferred.

CHARACTERISTIC DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES OF JOB: Implements recreation programs to meet the needs of residents through age appropriate physical, cognitive, social, and emotional activities inside the facility.  This includes planning and carrying out large and small group activities, as well as individual leisure pursuits.  Completes the required documentation including daily attendance, quarterly activity review and goal setting.  Assists with documentation for plan of care.  Conducts activity assessments on all admission/readmission’s as assigned.
