Employee Spotlight: Janeya Taylor, Resident Assistant
Career Spotlights
I feel like my calling in life is to help others, and I get to do that everyday in my job.
Janeya Taylor is all smiles as she walks the corridors of Allied Services Center City Residence. The 48-bed personal care facility in downtown Wilkes-Barre consists of studio or one-bedroom apartments, tailored to those residents who can still maintain a certain level of independence, but may need some assistance.
As a Resident Assistant, Janeya helps the residents with those daily activities that they may struggle with, such as dressing, grooming, laundry and accessing the social activities and other amenities that are on site. Did we mention the full-service beauty salon?! Her favorite part of the job is interacting with the residents.
"These are amazing people when you get to know them."
Originally from Newark, New Jersey, Janeya had worked as a Resident Assistant before. However, she came back to doing what she loves.
"I had other jobs, but nothing fulfilled me like helping the elderly.”
Thank you, Janeya, for ensuring our residents are well cared for.
