New Summer Class Offered for Families of Children with Disabilities
Beginning on Monday, June 3rd, families of children with disabilities will be able to take part in a new exercise class designed with their child’s needs in mind. Mommy and Me Yoga is a new class hosted by licensed yoga instructor, Mindy Hill. The class is designed specifically for children and teens with disabilities or who are on the autism spectrum. The 6 week series will incorporate yoga postures, breathing techniques and mindfulness exercises. Classes will be hosted in the Community Room on Allied Services main Scranton campus.

WHEN: Monday, June 3, 5:15 p.m. for 6 weeks

About the instructor: Mindy Hill is a certified yoga instructor with over 500 hours of training. She received her certification at Sundari Wellness in Stroudsburg, PA. A certified yoga therapist with specific certifications in children with special needs, grief yoga, yoga for trauma relief, yoga for chronic pain and cancer wellness. She has been teaching yoga since 2005.
