As part of its Autism Collaborative Centers of Excellence (ACCE) initiative, AllOne Foundation recently awarded a $100,000 grant to Allied Services to enhance its pediatric and developmental programs. The grant will fund improvements to outpatient therapies and technologies for children, both in the Scranton and Heinz Rehab location in Wilkes-Barre Township. It will also underwrite new health and wellness aids for adults in residential care.
AllOne’s ACCE initiative is intended to improve service delivery systems and minimize service gaps for individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and their families living in Northeastern and North Central Pennsylvania. ACCE will deliver a full array of services from early intervention to adult services.
Allied Services is now celebrating 60 years of meeting healthcare and human service needs for adults and children with disabilities, chronic illnesses and life-changing injuries. The nonprofit system has earned national recognition for excellence in medical rehabilitation services, skilled nursing and transitional care, home health and in-home services, and community-based services for people with disabilities.
