Community celebrates at Burnley’s Casino Night

Guests from Monroe, Lackawanna, Luzerne and Pike County gathered at Stroudsmoor Country Inn on April 5, 2019 to celebrate the accomplishments of individuals with disabilities in the workplace. During the course of the evening, guests were introduced to and cheered for three guests of honors, Burnley Employment & Rehab Services’ Employees of the Year.

Kevin Herron of Stroudsburg received the Community Employee of the Year award. Kevin works at Tobyhanna Army Depot and has been recognized by his peers and supervisors for his outstanding work ethic, skills and consistently high-quality work. Holly Denny and Gregory Breslin of Stroudsburg both received Burnley ‘s Workshop Employee of the Year award. Both were praised for their work performance, dedication and contribution to workplace morale and community spirit.

Following the video and award presentations, guests enjoyed gaming, music, raffles and fine dining. The event was generously sponsored by SuperHeat Inc, Buck Hill Community Services Committee, the Ann & Joseph Farda Foundation, the Mattioli Foundation, Quantum Rehab, Stroudsburg Eye Specialists, Weiler Corporation, Adams Outdoor Advertising, Amerisource Bergen, Monroe County Bar Foundation, Monroe County Transit Authority, PNC, Sanofi Pasteur, Tom and Christine Pugh and Vigon International. The funds raised at Casino Night support Burnley Employment & Rehab Services in providing training and employment opportunities for individuals with disabilities.
