Students, faculty, staff and parents gathered at Jefferson Elementary Center in Mount Cobb recently to celebrate the end of their annual fundraising efforts for WNEP’s Team Allied Services. This year, the school which is part of North Pocono School District, raised $5,745. A large portion of the funds were raised during the sponsored run-a-thon. Students ran a total of 2119 laps which equaled an incredible 529.75 miles! Members of the Jefferson Jack Rabbits running club also participated in the Team Allied Services 5k in Scranton on October 6. The funds raised will benefit children and adults with disabilities at Allied Services.
