Allied Services employees earn specialist certifications
Kevin E. Bowman, PharmD, MBA, BCGP, Assistant Vice President of Pharmacy Services, Allied Services Pharmacy, recently met the requirements for a seven year re-certification as a Board Certified Geriatric Pharmacist awarded by the Board of Pharmacy Specialties (BPS). Board certification through the BPS is recognized as the gold standard for determining which pharmacists are qualified to contribute at advanced practice levels. Through rigorous standards, the BPS certified pharmacist stands out as the most qualified to take on today’s expanding healthcare expectations and improve patient outcomes.
Kevin earned his Doctor of Pharmacy degree from Creighton University and prior to joining Allied Services, he served as Pharmacy Director in several acute care facilities as well as in a Long Term Care Pharmacy. Kevin resides in Wyoming with his wife Betty and their blended family of five children.
Gary A. Beppler, PharmD, Certified Antibiotic Stewardship Pharmacist, Consultant Pharmacist, Allied Services Pharmacy, recently achieved certification in Antibiotic Stewardship through the Society of Infection Disease Pharmacists. The Antimicrobial Stewardship Certificate Program is an innovative and intensive practice-based activity for pharmacists focusing on the pharmacist’s role in the area of appropriate use of antimicrobial agents. Tuition was funded through a grant from the Pennsylvania Department of Health with the goal of having a pharmacy consultant lead antibiotic stewardship programs in long term care centers.
Gary earned his Doctor of Pharmacy degree from Temple University and prior to joining Allied Services, served as a pharmacist at an area hospital. Gary and his wife Sarah currently reside in Dickson City.
