Misericordia Professor and Allied Services Physical Therapist published in leading sports physical therapy journal

Steven D. Pheasant, PT, PhD, is an Associate Professor in the Physical Therapy department at Misericordia University. When he’s not teaching, Dr. Pheasant chooses to share his expertise with staff and patients as a call-in Physical Therapist at Heinz Rehab Hospital and Heinz Rehab Center in Wilkes-Barre. He holds a Master of Science in Physical Therapy from Arcadia University and earned his PhD in Applied Biomechanics from the University of Toledo.

Dr. Pheasant has pursued his interest in sports injuries and sports physical therapy, conducting research and publishing academic articles on the subject. In 2012, he co-authored an article for the International Journal of Sports Physical Therapy titled “The Incidence of Low Back Pain in NCAA Division III Female Field Hockey Players.”

The International Journal of Sports Physical Therapy recently published another of Dr. Pheasant’s articles.
