WNEP’s Team Allied Services 5K & All Abilities Walk 2016

REPOSTED from WNEP by

The WNEP-TV’s Team Allied Services team is 31 days away from running in the TCS New York City marathon. This Saturday, October 8, is your chance to come out to walk, run, or cheer for the cause at Scranton Memorial Stadium.

Our campaign raises funds to help change the lives of kids and adults with disabilities served by Allied Services.

As for this weekend’s event, it all ties into “WNEP’s Team Allied Services 5K and All Abilities Walk.” Ryan brought us a preview Wednesday on Newswatch 16 This Morning from Scranton Running Company which is helping to organize the event.

On Saturday, October 8, area runners can test their 5K times at the event and for dozens of others, especially the patients at Allied Services, they’ll be doing one lap or more around the track at the Scranton High School. The “All Abilities Walk” is a goal many of the patients have been working toward for months. If you register by Wednesday, October 5, the cost of the 5K is $10.00. Click here to sign-up! You can also register inside Scranton Running Company along West Olive Street as well. After Wednesday, the cost for the 5K is $20.00.
