Two residents celebrate 100th birthdays
Staff at Allied Services Skilled Nursing & Rehab Center in Scranton gathered for a birthday celebration for two of their much-loved residents, Ann Zuby and Emily Petry. Both residents will celebrated these milestone birthdays with family and other residents on Friday, October 21st
Emily, originally of Duryea, will turn 100 on October 29th. She lived variously in New York and Florida, at one point working for the Bulova Watch Company. She was joined by her grandson, Robert, and great granddaughters Sarah and Nicole.
Ann, originally of Scranton, turned 100 on October 12th. She worked as a nurse at St Agnes Hospital in New York, but spent most of her days serving as a nurse at hospitals in and around Scranton. She celebrated with her son, Gary and his wife Ellen, and her niece Ruth and grandniece Ruth Ann.
Allied Services Skilled Nursing and Rehab Center in Scranton is a 371-bed facility providing comprehensive care for both short and long term patients, including specialized respiratory services, wound care, pain management, behavior management and care for people with Alzheimer’s disease and other related dementias.
