Allied Services’ Janice Mecca earns specialist certification in Psychiatric Rehabilitation
Janice Mecca, B.S., M.S., C.P.R.P., a mental health worker at Allied Services Integrated Health System recently received her certification in Psychiatric Rehabilitation. Janice is only the 5th person in Lackawanna County to earn this certification and the title of Certified Psychiatric Rehabilitation Practitioner.
The Dunmore native graduated from Marywood University with a Bachelors in Psychology and a Masters in Clinical Psychology. She has been accepted into Marywood University’s PhD program for Human Development.
Janice joined Allied Services Behavioral Health Division in 2013. Today, she works with individuals at five of Allied Services’ Behavioral Health Facilities in Lackawanna County providing supervision and support for activities of daily living.

She is an advocate, a mother, and a wonderful staff member. She inspires us all.”
Allied Services Behavioral Health Division began operations in 1979, with the opening of Harbor House Program, a thirty bed Community Residential Rehabilitation Facility (CRR), which provides a wide range of supports and skills training to individuals with mental illness. The Division’s Supported Living Program began in 1990. Today, Allied Services provides a range of support and services for individuals with mental health conditions throughout the region, including Lackawanna, Susquehanna, Schuylkill, Bradford and Sullivan counties.
