Nicole Christensen, Direct Care Aide

For the past ten years, Nicole Christensen has enjoyed a career dedicated to caring for others. She has worked in personal care homes and nursing homes, but her current role working with adults with disabilities is by far her favorite.

“I love my job, I really do. I love being with the individuals, teaching them and helping them.”

Nicole works as a Direct Care Aide in Allied Services day program, providing care for adults with physical and developmental disabilities. During the day, she and her coworkers organize recreational activities and provide assistance with daily activities as needed. Nicole enjoys working with individuals to help them gain more independence and fulfillment. She knows that there will always be a happy face to greet her when she comes to work.
