Autism Golf Classic 2021

According to the Centers for Disease Control, Autism is one of the fastest-growing developmental disorders in the U.S., affecting 1 in 68 children. Treatment and services are typically not covered by insurance causing an out-of-pocket annual expense of $60,000 for most families. Allied Services Wilkes-Barre Rehab Hospital provides therapy to any child with autism, regardless of the family’s ability to pay. An average 13-week speech and language therapy session costs approximately $4,000.

The Autism Golf Classic raises funds to support pediatric services for children with autism at Allied Services Wilkes-Barre Rehab Hospital. This year’s proceeds will help to defray the cost of such services, and none of the money raised through the event will be used for salaries.

The Autism Golf Classic includes:

• 9:30 - 10:00 a.m. - Registration, breakfast, and FootJoy display
• 11:00 a.m. - Golf starts promptly
• 4:00 p.m.. - Outdoor cocktail reception
• 5:00 p.m. - Dinner & awards adhering to social distancing guidelines. Auction featuring vacation packages, sporting events, and local gift certificates.

Allied Services is a designated beneficiary of Lexus Champions for Charity. As the regional designee, we conduct a regional raffle with 300 chances to win the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to play in the three-day Pebble Beach golf tournament. One lucky winner will attend and play in the 2021 Lexus Champions for Charity National Championship, along with a friend, at the Pebble Beach Resorts in Pebble Beach, California.
