Twins Alison and Grace were born four-weeks premature and spent weeks in neonatal intensive care. Grace had respiratory problems and needed minor surgery. But Alison's challenges were far greater . At age one, she was diagnosed with spastic diplegia, a form of cerebral palsy. Intensive physical and occupational therapy services were needed to help Alison stand, and she continues to work on balancing, walking and communication. Allied Services therapists Nikki Dixon, Lynn Dunay, and Lynne Duncan work regularly with Alison who, with her family's support, is succeeding.
