Allied Services Mental Health Services Division helps anyone with mental illness make the transition from supervised to community living.

Programs and Services

At sites throughout the region, the program helps individuals become re-acquainted with social, economic, cultural, recreational and other resources in the community to more easily attain independent lifestyles.  Allied offers several distinct programs:

16- to 24-hour awake staff supervision

Rehabilitation plans available

Participation in a day program required

Personal Care Home Services (Respite Care included) Harbor House

28 beds including 2 respite beds

Personal care – 24-hour awake staff supervision, hygiene, transportation, activities, housekeeping, meals, etc.

Community residential rehabilitation services – cooking, cleaning, hygiene, budgeting, medications, shopping, etc.>

Assess individual’s housing needs

Assist in obtaining safe affordable housing (e.g., identify housing, obtain donated furniture, and help with moving and utility set-up)

Provide support and skills training enabling individuals to remain in a permanent community housing

HUD Homeless Supportive Housing provides:

- Access for Lackawanna County only
- Assistance in finding and maintaining permanent housing
- Assistance to establish the residence as a Mental Health Supported Living Program
- Access to limited financial aid
