Dawn Perri
Hi, my name is Dawn Perri and it is with great enthusiasm that I will be running in the NYC Marathon for Allied Services as a member of Ryan’s Run 2012. As a first time marathoner, I’m both excited and nervous to be able to participate in this incredible event benefitting such a worthwhile cause. I live in Ardsley, NY with my husband, two sons and two dogs – who are all incredibly supportive and tell me (at least the ones with two legs tell me) that I can do this!
I was born and raised in the Bronx and graduated from Fordham University. I am currently the Regional Manager of Operations in NYC for ParenteBeard, a premier CPA and business advisory firm with offices across the Mid Atlantic, including Northern Pennsylvania. I am so grateful to ParenteBeard and Allied Services for having provided me with this opportunity.
In addition to spending time with my family and friends, I love playing volleyball and am currently writing a book with Turn the Page Publishing that is due out in 2013. Over the years, I have participated in many of the NYC 5K Corporate Challenges, as well as several Walk for Wishes events. Most recently, I participated in the 5K PEACE OUTside Campus run to promote safety awareness for off campus housing at universities throughout the country.
Having worked in New York City my entire professional career, I always thought about the NYC marathon. Now not only will I be running in it, but I also get to raise money for Allied Services while doing so. I’d like to dedicate this marathon to everyone who has ever made a positive difference in the life of another – we can all be heroes if we just believe! Peace.
