Beth Stark
Hi there! My name is Beth Stark and I can’t wait to be at the starting line of Ryan’s Run as a member of Team Leckey!
I started running over 13 years ago as a member of my high school cross country team. I have been hooked ever since and have completed several 5Ks, 10Ks, two sprint triathlons and two half marathons. While I have been thinking about running a marathon for quite some time, I could never get up enough courage to take the plunge and register for one. When I was approached about joining the Team Leckey roster to help raise money for Allied Services Integrated Health System, it was an opportunity too incredible to pass up!
I’m proud to be a local gal; born and raised in the Central Susquehanna Valley. After leaving the area to attend college at Penn State; complete my dietetic internship in the Big Apple; and kick off my dietitian career in the Lehigh Valley, I returned to Selinsgrove to take on my current position as a Weis Markets registered dietitian. In this role, I deliver practical nutrition information to our customers to guide them towards healthier eating, shopping and cooking habits. In addition to making memories with family, friends and my two Yorkshire Poodles, I spend my spare time cooking, practicing yoga, traveling and being active.
I run this race to experience this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity of the ING New York City Marathon while supporting Allied Services and all of the amazing individuals whose lives they touch. I’ll leave you with one of my favorite running mantras: “The hard is what makes it great. If it wasn’t hard, everyone would do it.” Let’s go!!
