Allied Services Awarded Bronze Charity Status
For the second year running, Allied Services Integrated Health System has been awarded Bronze charity status by the ING New York City marathon. Athletes throughout the US searching for a cause to run for in 2012 can browse the 100 or so Bronze charities, where Allied Services and Ryan’s Run sit side by side with well known groups such as the American Heart Association, Livestrong, the Lance Armstrong Foundation and Stand Up 4 Cancer.
The preparations for the 2012 Ryan’s Run campaign are off to a strong start, thanks to the support of returning Major Sponsors Mohegan Sun at Pocono Downs, Northeastern Rehabilitation Associates, Jack Williams Tire Center, and new Major Sponsors FNCB, Parente Beard, LLC and Weis Markets.
The Major Sponsors will all be represented on Team Leckey with a runner of their choice. The latest addition to Team Leckey 2012 is Bill ‘Mac’ Magdeburg, who won the Allied Services online marathon lottery in April. Mac, who lives in Pottsville, only took up running in 2010 and has run two marathons since. He is already in training and looking forward to helping raise funds for children and adults with disabilities.
