Neurological Rehab Program
The Neurological Rehab Program, at John Heinz Rehab and Allied Rehab, provides comprehensive rehabilitation services to people following a stroke or traumatic brain injury. Program staff include:
- Neuropsychologist
- Psychologist
- recreational therapist
- certified rehabilitation registered nurse
- physical therapists
- occupational therapists
- speech pathologists certified in NDT
- speech and language pathologist certified in Vital-Stim.
The center provides an interdisciplinary team approach to improving function in mobility, communication, cognition, self-care and community re-entry. The patient’s family is an important part of the team and patient / family education and training with hands-on practice is emphasized.
