One of the first of its kind in the country, the Cancer Rehabilitation Program at Allied Services Rehabilitation Hospital helps patients and their caregivers to maximize ability and independence and minimize many of the complications associated with cancer and its treatment.
Inpatient Services
- Helping patients with reducing fatigue, increasing vigor and strength, improving mood, and boosting the immune system.
- Rehab services can help cancer survivors to return to their previous level of functioning or help them learn to function with new disabilities.
Specialized services are available for disorders caused by specific types of cancer. We treat:
- shoulder pain, weakness or stiffness after breast or lung surgery
- pain or difficulty moving caused by bone tumors
- swelling of arms after breast cancer
- speech or swallowing disorders after neck or throat surgery
- weakness, loss of balance, decreased memory and impaired speech due to brain tumors
- paralysis from spinal cord tumors
