For over 25 years, Allied In-Home Services has been providing home and community based services to assist persons with disabilities and older adults with activities of daily living. Allied In-Home Services is a licensed by the Pennsylvania Department of Health as a home care agency.
Our mission is to promote independent living for individuals in our community. The Independent Living (IL) philosophy is a worldwide movement of people with disabilities and older adults working for self-determination, self-respect and equal opportunities.

Funding Programs
Many of our services are provided through Home and Community Based Service (HCBS) waiver funding from state and federal government sources. Allied In-Home Services professional staff will assist individuals in determining their eligibility for these programs. Allied In-Home Services works closely with the following funding sources:
- Pennsylvania Department of Public Welfare, Office of Long Term Living (HCBS waivers and Act 150 Program), which helps eligible adults 18 to 59 years of age, who are mentally alert and physically disabled, live as independently as possible, remain in their homes, and seek or maintain employment.
- Human Services Development Funds (Lackawanna, Columbia counties), which provides homemaker services to consumers 18 to 59 year of age.
- Pennsylvania Department of Aging (Area Agencies on Aging in 23 counties of Northeastern and Central Pennsylvania), which provides personal care and support services to consumers over the age of 60.
- Pennsylvania Department of Health, as a licensed home care agency.
