Allied Services Integrated Health System is proud to announce Mohegan Sun at Pocono Downs as a Major Sponsor of the 2012 Ryan’s Run Campaign. This will be the third consecutive year that Mohegan Sun has served as a major sponsor for Ryan’s Run, demonstrating an extraordinary commitment to improving the lives of children and adults with disabilities in Northeastern Pennsylvania.
“From the outset of the Ryan’s Run campaign in 2010, Mohegan Sun has been committed to supporting Allied Services in their mission to improve the lives of individuals with disabilities or life-changing injuries,” commented Bill Conaboy, Esq., President/CEO, Allied Services. “Thanks to their continued and significant support, we have been able to touch the lives of hundreds of individuals and families in the local area.”
In 2011, Mohegan Sun’s Vice President of Marketing, Kara Fox LaRose, was among the 20 runners who ran in the New York City marathon as part of Team Leckey. This year, the Ryan’s Run major sponsor is giving one lucky winner the chance to cross this epic race off their bucket list. “Running the NYC marathon is a once-in-a-lifetime experience, but getting the opportunity to run can be half of the challenge” said Kara Fox LaRose. “Guaranteed entry is so rare and we’re excited to give someone the chance to run in this amazing race.”
Mohegan Sun at Pocono Downs will offer local runners the opportunity to purchase tickets to be entered into a drawing for a guaranteed spot in the 2012 race. The tickets, which are $20, will only be available at the official Ryan’s Run 3 kickoff party. All proceeds from the marathon raffle will benefit Allied Services.
On Thursday, August 30, 2012, at 5:00 p.m., Mohegan Sun at Pocono Downs will host the official Ryan’s Run Kickoff Party with their now legendary Party on the Patio night. Fans of the weekly free outdoor concert series will enjoy music by the acclaimed Jimmy Buffett tribute band, Parrotbeach. Also entertaining fans will be WNEP’s Ryan Leckey, 98.5 KRZ’s Lissa and NEPA King of Caribbean rhythm, George Wesley.
