Jack Williams Tire, sponsor of Ryan’s Run for the second consecutive year, recently presented a check for $15,000 to Allied Services for Ryans Run 3. They also announced Nicole Gallager of Danville as the winner of their Facebook competition for a spot in the ING NYC Marathon.
Nicole Gallagher is a medical policy research coordinator with Geisinger Health Plan. She ran cross country and track in high school, but stopped running during college. She began running again about three years ago, as a way to get back into shape. Since then, she completed seven half marathons, a 30k race, and one full marathon.
“Running has helped me get through some difficult times and to be able to run for such an incredible cause and help others is such a wonderful,” says Nicole. “I am grateful to Jack Williams Tire for selecting me for this and giving me this great opportunity.”
In the past two years, Ryan’s Run has raised over $340,000 for children and adults with disabilities in Northeastern PA. From providing services to autistic children who are uninsured or underinsured to providing the most high tech equipment in rehab today, the Bioness Zero G, that helps stroke suffers recover more function in less time, Ryan’s Run has helped countless patients regain skills, health, and independence.
