REPOSTED from The Abington Journal
Highmark Blue Cross Blue Shield recently presented funding to Allied Services Foundation at the dePaul School for Dyslexia to support children’s health programs. Highmark is a signature sponsor of WNEP’s Ryan’s Run this year and the School Rules and Kick-Start Running Club programs. The School Rules program engages local schools in thinking about disability issues and raising funds for individuals with disabilities. The Kick-Start Running Club offers school-age students the opportunity to learn about making good choices as part of a healthy lifestyle and prepare to participate in their first 5k run. Students at the dePaul School are participating in the Kick-Start Running Club, thanks to $7,500 in funding from Highmark.
