Gifts of securities that have risen in value since their purchase may be particularly attractive under current tax laws. Here’s why:

  • You avoid all capital gains tax when you contribute long-term appreciated securities to Allied Services Foundation.
  • You receive a charitable income tax deduction equal to the fair market value of the securities if they have been held longer than one year.

Please use the following instructions to make a gift of stock. Whatever method you choose, you or your broker must provide the following information for audit and acknowledgement purposes:

  • Donor’s name and complete address
  • Name and number of shares transferred
  • Date of the transfer
  • our preference, if any, for Allied's use of the contribution
