Allied Services and Individuals Abilities in Motion to host Free Handcycle Demonstration

Individuals Abilities in Motion will be holding a free handcycle demonstration Saturday, June 14, from 1:00 – 5:00 p.m. at Allied Services Corporate Center in Clarks Summit. Powered by the arms, rather than the legs, hand cycling is ideal for people who have limited or no use of their legs.

The I AM Group is an organization with one goal; to enrich the lives of individuals with spinal cord injuries. Following multiple community outreach and fundraising events the group donated more than $1,400 to Allied Services. The donation will allow 14 free visits for those utilizing a piece of equipment available at Allied Services. The FES RT 300-S bicycle allows patients with spinal cord injury to rebuild significant muscle mass and bone density while also improving cardiovascular functioning.
