For the fourth consecutive year, Henry F. Smith Jr., M.D., director of pulmonary services at Heinz Rehab Hospital in Wilkes-Barre and director of pulmonary medicine at Mercy Special Care Hospital in Nanticoke, has produced a calendar benefiting the myriad pediatric services offered at Allied Integrated Health Systems.
Printed on high-quality glossy stock, the 9-by-12-inch calendar features 12 eye-catching photos of some of Dr. Smith’s favorite exterior locales in Northeast Pennsylvania. It also includes pictures of 12 pediatric patients served by Allied and Heinz.
An avid photographer for over 30 years, Dr. Smith?s work has been featured in a number of publications and shown in several galleries. He specializes in landscape photography, with a primary focus on Pennsylvania. Among the places depicted in the calendar are the Train Station at Hunlock Creek, Roaring Brook Falls in Nay Aug Park, the stone walls of Lackawanna State Park, Hemlock Temple at Ricketts Glen State Park, and The Lands at Hillside in Dallas.
For over 25 years, Allied Rehab and Heinz Rehab have been providing comprehensive pediatric rehabilitation services for disabled and injured children, without regard for their insurance status or their parents? ability to pay. Available services include physical, occupational and speech therapy for children with a wide variety of diagnoses, socialization and other developmental programs and a school for children with learning disabilities.
Dr. Smith offers descriptions of each photograph on his blog. The calendar costs $7 and is available at all Allied Services and Heinz Rehab locations.
