Allied Services is the leading provider of healthcare and human services for northeastern Pennsylvanians with disabilities and chronic illnesses. As a not-for-profit corporation, we work to advance the health, independence, and life quality of our consumers and of the people of our region. Throughout its 60+ year history, Allied Services has been guided by a commitment to delivering compassionate care of the highest quality.

Our Approach

Our approach is a hands-on, people-oriented style which places the physical and emotional needs of those in our care at the center of all we do. Whether in our rehabilitation hospitals, our skilled nursing facilities, our behavioral health/developmental disability program, home care, or specialty or vocational programs, we strive every day to help people reach their fullest potential.

We encourage employee participation & interaction throughout our entire health system. Team-oriented solutions and employee empowerment provide a cooperative and enriching workplace. Hospital administration, with guidance from our board of directors, seeks to uphold the high standard of care and community service that Allied Services is known for throughout the region.

What We Do

Every day Allied’s 3,500 employees and volunteers strive to touch the lives of nearly 5,000 people throughout northeastern and central Pennsylvania. Allied Services works to support:

  • People who have injuries or disabling illnesses
  • Children with special needs
  • People with developmental disabilities
  • Persons who need assistance with activities of daily living

We work together with consumers, their families, caregivers, and physicians to offer care that meets physical, social, psychological, and vocational needs in the following ways we:

  • Help people regain health and independence through inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation and home care services
  • Enable disabled people to find satisfaction in their work through vocational services
  • Help youth overcome learning disabilities by offering specialized learning environments
  • Provide care for the elderly
