Join Allied Services Integrated Health System and Denise Piepoli, RN, BS, CDE for a FREE diabetes seminar. Participants at the free monthly classes learn about the latest technology and medications available, how to improve their health and strategies to prevent the progression of the disease.
The classes, which are open to the public, are held on the second Wednesday of every month, from 10:00 a.m. to noon in the patient dining room at Heinz Rehab Hospital in Wilkes-Barre. Piepoli, a staff nurse and diabetes educator, is uniquely qualified to provide support and advice to individuals and family members dealing with diabetes. In addition to her own experience of living with diabetes, Piepoli draws on years of training, culminating in her qualification as a Certified Diabetes Educator. Whether providing training to staff at Allied Services Home Health or educating the public, she works to empower patients to learn more about the disease in order to achieve their health goals.
